ORLANDO, Fla. - James Oliver Seevakumaran, who police say planned to go on a shooting rampage at UCF before killing himself, had a check list, according to police. The last item read: "Give them hell," according to the Orlando Sentinel.
UCF Police Chief Richard Beary released new details about Monday's narrowly- avoided massacre at a Tuesday afternoon news conference.
Beary said a check list was discovered that apparently showed Seevakumaran's plan to launch an attack on the school after pulling a fire alarm lever.
That item was far down on the list and was the last to be executed before the 30-year-old former student killed himself.
Police also released video from a helmet-cam showing officers searching the dorm room where they found Seevakumaran's body. The video shows the discovery being made followed by a call for emergency backup.
A college student with two guns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and a backpack filled with explosives pulled a dorm fire alarm Monday in an apparent attempt to force other students out into the open so that he could slaughter them, authorities said. But he instead put a bullet in his head as police closed in.
