Man accused of videotaping women undressing behind two-way mirror

STARKE, Fla. - A man secretly videotaped women using a tanning booth he set up in the barn outside his home in Starke, the Gainesville Sun reports. Bradford county Sheriff's deputies arrested 47-year-old Doyce Griffis. He is charged with voyeurism and making, printing or publishing pornography.

Griffis operated a self-serve tanning booth where patrons paid two dollars for a 20-minute session.  But there was a video camera behind a two-way mirror investigators said. "I just like to look at pretty girls naked," Griffis told the Sun.  "The recordings were strictly for me".

Deputies seized four large containers of VHS tapes, 30 or more 8 mm cassettes, 41 DVDs, the two-way mirror and a laptop computer. The case against Griffis began when two women came forward saying they suspected Griffis was videotaping women.

Investigators are now trying to determine who the victims may have been. Griffis is being held without bail in the Bradford County Jail.
