Epcot's Candlelight Processional tells the story of Christmas

At this time of year, Epcot at Walt Disney World presents Holidays Around the World - Candlelight Processional. Accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra, the theme park brings in a celebrity to retell the story of Christmas.

It begins with the orchestra playing and a choir singing as they enter the America Gardens Theater in Epcot, coming down the aisles to take their place on stage.

Then the story of Christmas is told by the narrator, along with song and musical interludes. It is a wonderful way to experience the Christmas season.

You can also add a lunch or dinner to the Candlelight Processional experience.  Many Epcot restaurants offer select dining times, to ensure you can get to one of the three nightly presentations.

Performances are at 5pm, 6pm, and 8:15pm.  With lunch and dinner packages, you receive reserved seating for the show and a reserved section to watch the fireworks later in the evening.

Narrators this year include Geena Davis, Andy Garcia, Blair Underwood, Alfre Woodard, Trace Adkins, Gary Sinese, Whoopie Goldberg, James Denton and more.

This special event is held nightly from November 23 to December 30, with 15 guest narrators spread out over the 38-day run.

Contact Disney Reservations to select a night or specific narrator. They can be contacted at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463.

It is an outdoor event, so be sure to check the weather forecast before you go to the park on the day you plan to attend.
