Authorities searched a Winter Park home Wednesday night connected to a fatal daycare crash that launched a statewide manhunt, WFTV reports .
The home is where authorities say Robert Corchado dropped off an SUV on April 9 after he caused a collision at a day care that killed a young girl.
According to WFTV, two search warrants were served at the home.
“It was very calm. The gentlemen opened the door, and at that point, we secured all the individuals inside the house and did our cursory search of the residence,” said Lt. Timothy Freebern with the Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities took one man into custody.
WFTV reports that Corchado is the homeowner’s friend.
The crash Corchado is accused of causing killed Lily Quintus, 4, and injured more than a dozen other people.
