Alan Farajian: Man tells deputies he stabbed, killed mother because of argument over TV show

JUNO BEACH, Fla. - A man arrested by Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies Wednesday morning told detectives he killed his mother because of an argument over a TV show, according to an arrest report.

Alan Farajian, 23, is accused of stabbing and killing his mother in the 1800 block of Len Drive of Juno Beach.

According to detectives, Farajian admitted to cutting his mother's throat from behind, and stabbing her in the throat and chest. Detectives also said Farajian stated he knew stabbing his mother was wrong, but he would do it again.

"The suspect showed no remorse and spoke of acts of the devil," the arrest report states.

Farajian originally told investigators that his mother had poisoned him, and later told deputies that she was "God fearing" and he was the devil, the sheriff's office said.

Detectives said Farajian stated he has been treated for psychological issues and suffers from a bipolar condition and schizophrenia, and had received medication at some point.

The murder weapon, which was left in the living room sofa, was a kitchen steak knife, the report states.

After cleaning up and changing clothing, Farajian told detectives he fled the scene in his mother's car. According to the report, he admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana earlier in the day.

Farajian, of Jupiter, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail around 4:24 a.m. and is charged with second degree murder.
