WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Former New England Patriot football player Aaron Hernandez, currently being held in a Massachusetts jail on murder charges, has been served with a federal lawsuit based on an incident that started at a Miami strip club and ended in a parking lot near Riviera Beach.
The lawsuit filed by Alexander Bradley alleges that on February 13th Bradley and Hernandez had an argument at Tootsie's in Miami. Bradley and Hernandez, along with two other people, left Miami in a car and drove to Palm Beach County.
In the lawsuit Bradley says that he was shot by Hernandez and suffered bodily injury including the loss of his right eye and had to undergo multiple surgeries to his eye to reconstruct his face.
The suit claims that Bradley has become disabled and will require extensive medical care and treatment for the rest of his life.
Hernandez, according to Bradley, intentionally shot him with the intent to do harm.
Bradley has asked the court for a jury trial and hopes to receive a settlement in excess of $100,000 according to federal court documents.
