MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Google has done it again.
For the 30th anniversary of PAC-MAN on May 21, 2010, Google released their first-ever playable Google doodle. Wednesday, the technology company posting another interactive doodle its front page that could drive down employee productivity.
January 16 is Frank Zamboni's 112th birthday. He is man who invented the ice resurfacing machine that bears his name. Since the debut of the Zamboni Ice Resurfacer in 1949, over 10,000 of the machines have been used at ice rinks across the world.
The doodle allows you to be a Zamboni driver.
First, an iceskater takes to the Google ice rink, scratching up the ice with her skates.
You then use your computer's arrow keys on your keyboard or your mouse to direct the Zamboni to clean the ice. The faster you clean the ice, the more points you get.
However, there can be complications.
Drive your Zamboni too fast and you can crash into the rink's boards, killing your driver. If you are not careful you can also run out of gas or drive over a banana peel.
Not all internet browsers may work with the Google doodle. Firefox worked, but Internet Explorer did not.
