Local town hall meetings have been filled with frustration and fear directed at Bay Area Congressman.
And now comes the full court press.
Political ads both in favor and against the Republican Healthcare bill is hitting the airwaves in Florida.
And caught in the middle... Local Republican Congressmen who are up for re-election in less than two years.
"How well this goes could affect the control of congress in 2018," notes USF Political Science Professor Dr. Susan MacManus.
The magic number is 21.
That's how many "no votes" the republicans can afford to give up
Any more than that and the bill fails. But that doesn't mean it's dead.
"There's still a lot of room for slippage, things can be delayed if it looks like just a few more days they can bring in a few more republicans and democrats, " says Dr. MacManus.
In fact, the whole idea that the healthcare vote has to happen tomorrow is really just an artificial deadline.
Republicans want it to happen, because it's the seventh anniversary of the signing of Obamacare,
And President Trump wants to get it done within his first 100 days in office.
"That is the reason why trump is rushing to get things done , he knows the window is short he knows the stories of 100 days i office and how well have you done are coming out," says Dr. MacManus.
