Jury selection begins Monday for the murder trial of a man accused of throwing a 3-month-old boy out of a car window on the side of a highway.
Richard McTear, Jr., 25, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Emanuel Murray.
The baby was found dead in May, 2009, along the side of Interstate 275 near Fowler Avenue.
McTear fought with the child's mother, Jasmine Bedwell, earlier that morning. Police said he threw the child to the ground and then grabbed the child and drove off with him.
If convicted, McTear could get the death penalty.
