TAMPA - An armed robbery suspect accused of stealing money from two victims at gunpoint was arrested after leading Tampa police on high-speed chase Friday morning.
Police say Darron Hannah, 27, had just left the scene of his second robbery where he threatened the victim with a gun when officers saw him fleeing the scene.
Officers attempted to stop the van Hannah was driving, but the suspect fled and a pursuit began. The chase ended on I-275 near North boulevard Homes when Hannah abandoned the van and tried to flee on foot. He was quickly apprehended.
The van appears to have been stolen as well.
Some of the money stolen from the victims was recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
