Suspect in cab driver shooting and police now believe another person was involved

TAMPA - Tampa police have already arrested one man in connection with the shooting of a cab driver and are now looking for a second suspect.

Ricky Offutt, 21, was taken into custody Dec. 20, two days after the shooting occurred.

The shooting victim, 42-year-old Annuel Delicieux, was traveling with a passenger in his vehicle on W Chestnut St. when police say Offutt approached the cab.

The suspect allegedly demanded money, and the victim complied, throwing cash outside the car.

Offutt then shot the driver has he drove away. The victim ended up crashing into a police officer.

Once the officer realized the victim had been shot, an ambulance was called.

The victim was taken to the hospital and underwent an operation.

ABC Action News stoppeby by Delicieux's home Wednesday afternoon.  He was not home.  Neighbors said family members took him back to the hospital earlier in the day.

Offutt, who remains in jail, has been charged with attempted felony murder, armed kidnapping/robbery, battery and felony possession of a firearm.
