Severe weather caused several flight delays and cancelations at Tampa International Airport on Wednesday evening.

More than 100 flights were delayed and 8 were canceled.

"I normally get in and out like through security fast, but today no. We're hanging around," Rebecca Broomall said.

Broomall is flying back to Philadelphia with her 2-year-old daughter and she saw other people waiting too.

"So many people were looking and waiting for people," Broomall said.

The cell phone lot was packed with people, who were also waiting to pick up their loved ones or friends.

"I want to go home. I want to….I'm ready. Yeah. We've been waiting a couple of hours," Fawn DeBlasi said.

DeBlasi said the drive to the airport wasn't easy because it was pouring.

"Oh yeah, yeah. It was a mess. You could hardly see 2 cars ahead of you. It was really bad," DeBlasi said.
