Report: Baby's breathing emergency causes flight from Tampa to Phoenix to divert to Houston

TAMPA - A US Airways flight made an unscheduled stop in Houston early Tuesday morning, after a baby aboard stopped breathing, according to a report by ABC News.

US Airways Flight 678 left Tampa International (TPA) and headed for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, before being diverted.

When the flight landed in Houston, two EMTs and a nurse helped save the child, and the baby and her mother were taken off the flight for further evaluation.

The plane later continued to Phoenix, landing safely.
