Police: 1 killed in East Tampa shooting

A Tampa man faces a first-degree murder charge after police said he gunned down another man in East Tampa.
 
Kimwana Hamilton, 40, also fired gunshots at his girlfriend, according to Tampa Police Department.
 
Police said Hamilton confronted his girlfriend, Nisha Carson, 24, in his home at 1715 E. Rivercove St. He shot at her, police said, and then fired at her car as she drove away.
 
Hamilton then drove to 4209 N. 14th St., where he shot at an upstairs apartment, police said.
 
After driving around the block, he came back and confronted Alfonso Igles, 47, police said. Police said he chased Igles and fired at him multiple times
 
Hamilton was taken into custody after officers found him driving in the area of Rowlett Park Drive and Slight Avenue East.
 
His other charges include attempted second-degree murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, shooting into an occupied dwelling and possessing a firearm as a felon.
