A family of four was saved Friday morning when a newspaper delivery man morning saw their house on fire and woke them up.
Tampa Fire Rescue said they responded around 5:00 a.m. to heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the home at 207 W. 26th Ave.
According to neighbors, the family was asleep inside the home when the fire started.
It is unknown if there were working smoke detectors in the home.
The front of the home was destroyed by the fire and a car parked in front of the home sustained damage as well.
An investigator from the Fire Marshal's office is on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
The Red Cross is helping with displacement, but the family has lost nearly everything. If you would like to help, they are accepting donations at www.gofundme.com/b1gkq8 .
