TAMPA - A Media Marketing is a small family-owned business.
"Way back then it was a very different business. We primarily did print," said owner Victoria Jorgensen. She took the business over from her parents.
"We put together services that we feel aren't necessarily in the bay area. We try to tell stories behind our marketing," she said.
She made it through the recession, and now she is getting another boost thanks to the Republican National Convention host committee.
"This is an unmatched opportunity," she said.
Her company is one of 500 the host committee selected to be part of the small business network directory. Many will be used in some form for or during the convention.
Jorgensen and her crew turn out commercials, movies and public service announcements.
"Our experience has been that you have to recreate yourself and edit yourself consistently so as technology changes and trends change you have to take a look at what people want to buy instead of what you want to sell them," she said.
For four months, Jorgensen's crew has worked continuously on videos showcasing the Tampa Bay area and all it has to offer. The RNC gig is giving her business a ten percent bump during a normal slow summer period.
"A lot of our clients are getting excited and calling saying they didn't know we offered so much," she said.
