HCSO detectives search for home invasion suspects near USF

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives are asking for the public's assistance in tracking down two men behind a robbery home invasion that happened near USF.

The incident happened at the iQ Luxury Apartments, located across from campus at 12702 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., on Tuesday at approximately 1:40 a.m.

According to detectives, two men forced their way into an apartment, each armed with a handgun, with five students inside after knocking on the door. One suspect held the victims at gun point in the living room while the second suspect entered one room and took a victim's wallet containing $300. No one was hurt in the incident.

The suspects then ran to a waiting black sedan being driven by a third unknown suspect.

The first suspect was described as a black male, 5'08" to 5'10", large build and wearing dark sweatpants, gray shoes, black hoodie, black leather gloves and a black ski mask. 

The second suspect was described as a black male, 5'08" to 5'10", medium build and wearing dark jeans, black shoes, black USF hoodie, green USF skull cap, black gloves with a white skeleton hand, a Vandetta mask and carrying a black backpack with yellow/green straps.
