TAMPA, Fla. - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says a former pro wrestler is in custody for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death.
Deputies responded to a call of a stabbing at the Del Lago apartments around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. When deputies arrived they discovered a woman had been stabbed multiple times.
The victim, 25-year-old Bianca McGaughey, died at the scene from her injuries.
Authorities placed alerts for the suspect, 29-year-old Brian McGhee, and his car. McGee wrestled in Missouri using the name "The Future Donovan Ruddick" and "DT Porter" for Florida Championship Wrestling.
McGhee's 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was soon spotted in Tampa. Deputies, along with Tampa police officers and Florida Highway Patrol troopers, engaged in a pursuit.
McGhee was eventually taken into custody in Pasco County after crashing at Interstate 75 and County Line Road. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment before being booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.
