One firefighter was taken to the hospital, and a 2-story home is destroyed after a fire broke out late Thursday night in Tampa.
Firefighters arrived to 3512 N. Tampa Street to find the house 75 percent involved with fire shooting 40-50 feet into the air.
The home's tenant, Nicholas Underwood, 22 was not home at the time the fire originated. He is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
While performing ground operations, one firefighter sustained minor injury and was treated at the hospital before being released.
No other injuries have been reported.
The fire took approximately an hour to fully deem under control.
Damage to the building and contents is estimated at $75,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Tampa Fire Marshals.
