TAMPA - Angel Wilson says she and members of her family are all lucky to be alive.
"I'm shocked. I'm mad. I'm terrified," said Wilson. "It was just crazy."
Wilson was reliving the moments just after four members of her family were hit by a hit-and-run driver.
She and her family saw the dark-colored SUV coming through the intersection of Nebraska and Fowler.
"The car was coming full speed towards me and my mom and my little brother," she said.
She then told ABC Action News in an exclusive interview, she was the only person in her family who made it to the median. By the time she turned back around, they had already been hit.
"The next thing I know… airborne. My sister-in-law in the air," explains Wilson.
Two of the victims were treated at the scene, Wilson's mother and sister-in-law were both taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Her mother with a broken pelvis, her sister-in-law with a wrapped ankle.
Tampa Police say they are working to get surveillance video from the red light camera at the corner of the intersection in hopes of getting a better look at the suspect.
