TAMPA - Hillsborough County deputies are searching for a man who got out of his car at a red light near Brandon, walked to the passenger side of a Ford F150, and shot a man Monday night.
The victims inside the targeted car believe the incident was a case of road rage.
According to officials, two vehicles were driving east on Causeway Boulevard approaching US 301.
When both stopped at the US 301 traffic light, a man described as Hispanic got out of his white SUV and approached the passenger side of a Ford F150.
Kristen Craig, 45, was sitting in the driver's seat and watched as the man shot 45-year-old William Seago, striking him in the leg, chest and arm.
The suspect then returned to his car and was last seen headed south on US 301.
Craig told police she may have cut off the suspect while driving, and that the incident may be an act of road rage.
The victim was taken to Tampa General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
