Deputies say one man died following a double stabbing in Tampa

TAMPA - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double stabbing that left one man dead and another man hospitalized.
Deputies say around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday a 19-year-old man walking into the 7-Eleven in the 4000 block of Waters Avenue covered in blood after being stabbed several times.
He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment.
An hour later, an anonymous caller told authorities there was an unconscious man nearby. Paramedics responded and found 45-year-old Ovidio Sanchez stabbed multiple times in a dry drainage ditch next to a strip mall at the intersection of Waters Avenue and Lois Avenue.
Crews attempted to revive Sanchez but he later died.
Because of the proximity of the two stabbings and other factors, detectives believe the incidents are related.
