TAMPA - Richard Clark-Bartlett is a military hero, and now a living legend to his three young daughters and for that, his community wanted to reward him Monday morning with a 4-bedroom home to call his own.
The donation was made possible through the Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay Project and through the financial support of companies like Chase. Thanks to local companies generously donating to the cause, Clark-Bartlett's new home is completely paid.
"It's a lot of gratitude and a lot of work," said Clark-Bartlett. "And a lot of thanks people have put in just for me and my girls."
Clark-Bartlett is a U.S. Veteran. He served 18 years in the armed forced. Many of those spent on multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is now living his retired life 80-percent disabled after a severe injury in his final deployment. But through it all, he has still found the strength to be a great single-dad.
The home, a gift that will continue to give Clark-Bartlett and his family piece of mind. A safe place to live.
"It's actually been really hard trying to keep this together. But it's been worth it," Clark-Bartlett.
His hard work for our country rewarded by the community he calls home.
