TAMPA - A surveillance camera captured six men roughing up a clerk while robbing a 7-11 on Memorial Highway in Tampa. Hillsborough detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying them.
The robbery occurred on April 30 around 2:20 a.m. at 5001 Memorial Highway.
After the six suspects entered the store, one grabbed the clerk, forced him behind the counter and had him open the cash register. A second suspect took the cash and a carton of cigarettes.
The first suspect, along with the four other accomplices, acted as lookouts.
After the robbery they fled on foot west on Memorial. No vehicle was seen.
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 18-24 years of age, 6'3", 240 lbs, muscular build, last seen wearing a black cap with white logo, white "Express" t-shirt, camouflage shorts, white tennis shoes and black gloves.
The second suspect is a black male, 18-24 years of age, 5'05", 140 lbs., thin build, last seen wearing a black cap with white logo, white tennis shoes and black gloves.
The remaining four suspects were dressed in black caps, white t-shirts and gloves.
