3 cats die in suspected arson fire at Animal Coalition of Tampa Bay

TAMPA - Tampa Fire Rescue are investigating an early morning fire that they believe to be possible arson.

Tampa police officers saw flames coming from the back of Animal Coalition of Tampa Bay and promptly called Tampa Fire.

When crews arrived they were able to put out the fire. Sadly, three cats died inside the building.

A dog was able to escape the fire and was found out in the parking lot.

Fire investigators are working the scene to recover more information. It is unknown how many animals were inside the building at the time.
