U.S. Marshals now searching for Pinellas Trail robbery suspect

SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. - A man wanted for robbing a man and woman at gun point on Pinellas Trail is now being sought after by U.S. Marshals.

St. Petersburg police and Marshals have put up a billboard to draw attention to Germaine Small and generate leads.

On February 21, police say Small robbed the couple while they were riding their bikes around 3 p.m. on the trail. He hit the woman in the face with the butt of the gun which knocked out several of her teeth.

After Small and his accomplice robbed the couple they stole their bikes and rode off. The bicycles were later recovered near 18th Avenue South and 45th Street.

Detectives and Marshals are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to Small's arrest.

The billboard is at Ulmerton Road and 49th Street North.

Anyone with information is asked to call U.S. Marshals Service at 727-639-1167.
