St. Petersburg Walgreen's armed robbery caught on video

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Two armed robbers held up a St. Petersburg Walgreen's on Tuesday, according to St. Petersburg police. Video of the suspects was captured by surveillance cameras.

The crime was committed shortly before 3:30 a.m. at 5767 38th Avenue North.

Two black males in their 20's were seen loitering outside the store. They approached the business several times and turned around before finally going in with t-shirts covering their faces.

One suspect was armed with a large caliber handgun, according to a police statement.  Once inside the store, the unarmed suspect jumped over the counter and started looking through the shelves while the armed suspect confronted three employees and told them to go to the cash registers.

The employees gave the suspects cash which was placed in a bag.  The suspects then took off on foot.  A K9 tracked them to the east, but lost the scent.

One suspect had a gray shirt over his head and was wearing a white shirt with long sleeves and black shorts.

The other suspect had a white shirt over his head and wearing black shorts with blue stripes.
