St. Petersburg police: Third arrest made in veteran's murder

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A third person has been charged with the murder of a veteran outside his St. Petersburg home.

He's identified as a 17-year-old male. It was not immediately clear if he will be charged as an adult. Until a determination is made, he is not being identified by ABC Action News.

He's charged with being a principal to first-degree murder.

Two other teens, Shirune Green, 19, and his brother Gregory Green, 16,  have already been charged as adults with first-degree murder in the death of Floyd Lassiter.

Detectives believe Gregory Green fired a 9mm handgun as his brother wrestled with Lassiter.

Police say the three were trying to steal Lassiter's car outside his home on 25th Street south on May 10..

Gregory Green was already in custody on unrelated charges when he was charged last Thursday night with Lassiter's murder.

Shirune Green was arrested May 14 after police received a tip.
