St. Pete Pride expected to draw huge crowd downtown

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - It's a big day on Saturday, June 30 - more than 100 floats will take over downtown St. Petersburg.

St. Pete Pride's big parade and street festival kicks off at 9 a.m. - rain or shine.

Headlining this year's 10th annual FREE event will be musician Deborah Cox and comedienne Christine O'Leary.

Icons Jai Rodriguez (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) and Alec Mapa (Ugly Betty) are also expected to participate in the festivities.

The parade begins at Georgie's Alibi, moves to Central Avenue, and runs east to approximately 21st Street.

Nearly 200 vendors from across the state will be lined up on Central Avenue between 21st and 28th streets afterward.

Parking is available throughout the Grand Central District and surrounding neighborhoods.  Handicap parking is available in the lot at 22nd Street and 1st Avenue N.
