ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - An executive with the online music service Grooveshark was killed after an argument led to gunfire. The shooting happened in downtown St. Petersburg.
According to St. Petersburg Police, officers responding to a shooting in the 300 block of 3rd Street South around 4 a.m. Saturday found 27-year-old Eddy Vasquez suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was rushed to Bayfront Medical Center, but later died.
After interviewing several witnesses, police learned that Vasquez had been involved in an argument with 26-year-old Andres Torres of St. Petersburg.
Torres was found and arrested at his apartment. Officers found a firearm at Torres' apartment.
Torres has been charged with 2nd-degree murder and armed kidnapping with bodily harm. Detectives said Torres is not being cooperative with the investigation.
St. Pete Police have no said what led up to the argument or if Vasquez and Torres knew each other.
