Police pursue pilferer in purple, partner

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Police are looking for a two men who broke into two St. Petersburg homes last month.  Video shows one of the men dressed all in purple.

Around 7:45 a.m. on February 19, the two suspects broke into a rear window at 5591 16th Ave N. They took several items, including a revolver.

On the same day, at approximately 12:45 p.m. the suspects broke into a rear bedroom window at 5612 17th Ave N., a short distance from the first burglary.  A few electronic items were taken during this burglary.

Surveillance video (scroll down) shows the man in purple first approached a home adjacent to the second victim.  The suspect, in purple shorts and a matching jacket, is seen ringing the doorbell.  He then left and was caught on camera breaking into the rear window of the victim's home.

Police believe the two left the scene in a silver sedan, possibly a 2006-2011, 4-door Toyota Camry.
