A 25-year-old man was killed at a Largo manufacturing facility Tuesday when a large roll of steel fell and landed on him.
Eric Joseph Kanganis, an employee at United Steel Products (USP Structural Connectors) for three years, was using a forklift to unpack the large rolls of steel. While standing on the forklift, he cut a steel band, which immediately released tension on the rolls of steel that were packed together.
It caused one of the rolls to slam against him man, pinning him against the forklift and killing him instantly.
