Firefighters rescue dog from Pinellas Park home

Six people were able to escape when a Pinellas Park home caught fire on Tuesday morning.
 
Smoke was coming from the eves when firefighters arrived at the home on 107 Terrace North around 7:45 a.m.
 
Crew were able to quickly extinguish the fire. A dog named Casper was said to be inside and firefighters were able to find him and take him to safety. Casper was fine.
 
The house sustained fire and smoke damage throughout. The Red Cross was assisting those affected by the fire and the Pinellas Park Firefighters Benevolent Association donated $300 to assist the homeowners with basic needs.
 
There was no immediate word on what caused the fire.
