Woman pulled out of her car, beaten at Sarasota intersection, officials say

SARASOTA, Fla. - Two Sarasota women were taken into custody after they pulled a woman out of her car and beat her Sunday night.

The victims, Alanna Ferris, 21, and Chloe Costello, 23, were traveling together, on US 41 in Sarasota.

A road rage incident began involving 27-year-old Lisa M. Robinson and 19-year-old Raquel L. McCall, two other women who were traveling in another car on US 41 at the Myrtle Road intersection.

It was at this location that Robinson and McCall got out of their vehicle at the stop light and entered the victim's vehicle. The suspects pulled out one of the women and beat her in the roadway.

One of the women from the victim's car called 911, providing the suspect vehicle's tag and description.

A short time later, a second call for service was received from another party in relation to the incident.

Manatee deputies responded to this location to conduct interviews with the other women in the incident who officials later found to be the suspects.

The suspects were positively identified by the victims and Sarasota Police arrested them.
