A 3-year-old girl drowned Friday morning in the pool of a Sarasota home, deputies said.
Deputies received a report of the drowning about 10:24 a.m. at the home in the 3200 block of Henrietta Place. They found the child, Haily G. Nito-Hernandez, at the bottom of a swimming pool.
She was pronounced dead at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Deputies believe the drowning was accidental.
At the time of the drowning, the child was one of three under the age of 6 being supervised by a 16-year-old cousin.
