One person died Friday morning in a house fire near Bradenton, according to officials with Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue.
CHFR, along with Manatee County rescue crews, responded to 570 57th Ave W. to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the side of a single family residence.
Fire crews immediately began a search of the structure for a reported victim inside, while simultaneously attacking the fire. Additional crews assisted as they arrived on scene.
The victim was found in his bedroom where the fire started, succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the fire.
There were no other reported injuries to either civilians or fire department personnel.
The fire is still under investigation by Cedar Hammock and State investigators. The home sustained approximately $75,000.00 in damage.
The American Red Cross was requested to assist the owner who was displaced by the fire.
