FEMA reps are holding informational one-on-one meetings with people this week in Manatee County.

"We are here to help register survivors from the last hurricane,” said FEMA representative Melinda Roussos.

Rousos said FEMA representatives will sign you up for an inspection.  The representatives will also give you a general idea of what will be covered on your property and what will not be covered.

“Things like spoiled food and damage to trees will not be covered,” said Roussos.

FEMA will generally give you a check within two weeks if the damage is approved by inspectors. The maximum amount of money FEMA is allowed to give is $32 thousand.
