Man with extensive criminal past shot dead at Bradenton complex, police investigating

BRADENTON, Fla. - Manatee officials are searching for the suspect in the shooting murder of 29-year-old Carlos Alberto Jurado.

The victim had an extensive criminal history that dates back to April 2003.

On Monday night, Bradenton Police responded to calls of a person shot at the Sheridan Place apartment complex located on the 300 block of 26 th Avenue W.

Officers learned Jurado was walking when an unknown suspect or suspects shot a firearm.

Jurado sustained several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jurado had previously been arrested on 17 charges, some of which include, attempted pre-mediated murder, battery, domestic violence, probation violation, trespassing and content of court.
