Suspect blames meth after ripping necklaces from woman

A man told police he was smoking meth and doesn't remember snatching jewelry from the neck of a 69-year-old woman at Walmart.  Surveillance video shows him doing it, said police.
Officers said the woman was at Walmart shopping for flowers to place on a grave when Ryan Lee Twiddy got behind her and grabbed two necklaces she was wearing.  The jewelry broke and Twiddy, 25, ran through the store to the exit.
The woman tried to follow, and told officers, "I was going to tackle him until he dropped one of my necklaces and I stopped to pick it up."
Responding officers found him just a couple of blocks away.
Twiddy told police that he had been smoking methamphetamine all morning and remembers going to Walmart and running, but nothing about necklaces or an elderly female.
The man was charged with Robbery-Sudden Snatching and Battery on a Person 65 years of age or Older.
