Gunman wanted for Winter Haven shooting; grandmother wanted for threatening witness

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - A Winter Haven man and his grandmother are wanted after he allegedly shot a person and his grandmother allegedly threatened a witness not to identify her grandson as the shooter.

Polk County Sheriff's spokesperson Donna Wood said Kelvin Lewis Key-Herrington, 31, was still identifed as the gunman who shot the victim, despite 66-year-old Deborah Mobley Thompson's alleged threats of violence to the unidentified witness.

The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for an injury to the hand following the shooting.

Warrants have been issued for Key-Herrington and Thompson.

Key-Harrington is facing charges of attempted murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, tampering with a victim and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Thompson is facing charges of tampering with a witness.
