An argument over a Facebook post has landed an ex-boyfriend and his current girlfriend in jail after the pair confronted the former girlfriend at her home.

Thursday evening, there were reports of a fight in a Winter Haven neighborhood and a gunshot was heard.

Officers arrived at 2304 Whispering Trails Place, but the fight was over. Colecia Wilson, 24, told officers she was outside her house with her children, when her ex-boyfriend Charles Sigler, 24, and his current girlfriend Monica Little, 23, pulled up to the home.

Little got out of the car and started an argument, then grabbed Wilson and started dragging her across the yard and into the roadway. She spit in her face and told her "Things are not over!".

At that time, Sigler was standing beside his car wearing a black trench coat and holding a sawed-off shotgun. He fired one shot into the air during the fight, in what he said was an attempt to break up the fight and disperse the crowd that had gathered.

The two got into his vehicle and drove away. Officers later found the two at their house and interviewed them. Sigler at first denied being there at all or having any weapons, but after a search of the vehicle, officers found the gun with the serial number ground off.

Little was arrested and charged with one count of simple battery.

Sigler was arrested and charged with one count of possession of a short-barreled shotgun, alter/remove serial number from firearm, possession of an altered firearm, discharge a firearm in public, and resisting an officer without violence.
