Security app provides selfie of cell phone thief in Lakeland; help wanted identifiying subject

Lakeland Police need your help finding a woman who took a cell phone from a Buick parked at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center Family Health Center.
 
Unfortunately for the thief, the phone was equipped with a security app that took a photo of the subject who tried to access the phone.
 
A photo was taken of the subject; described as a Hispanic female last seen wearing a green dotted dress.
 
Anyone with information knows this woman, they're asked to contact the Lakeland Police Department at 863-834-6900 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-5477.

3.1 million American consumers were victims of smartphone theft in 2013, according to Consumer Reports .
 
An app called Lookout Mobile Security is available for Android , iOS  and Kindle devices .  It includes a feature called "Lock Cam " which takes a picture of anyone who enters an incorrect password three times with the front-facing camera on the device.
 
Once the picture is taken an email is sent with the photo and the location of your device, giving you valuable information about who tried to access your device and where it happened.
