Polk family viciously attacked inside home by men with guns & machete
POINCIANA, Fla. - Polk County Sheriff deputies are searching for two men who viciously attacked a family inside their Poinciana home.
Sheriff Grady Judd said during a news conference, that he hasn't seen a crime this horrific in years.
According to investigators, what started as a home invasion turned into a gruesome sexual battery and rape.
Judd said the attack happened Monday night. Two men dressed in ski masks and armed with guns and a machete approached a 20-year-old man outside a home in the area of Puffer Court and Halibut Road.
The suspects ordered him inside the home.
According to Judd, the suspects then tied him and his father up. Then the duo took turns raping the young man's mother.
"Before they left, they did a complete body wash of the victim with bleach. A complete body wash with bleach, in an effort to hide evidence," Judd said.
The suspects got away with $500 and jewelry.
Suspect 1 is a light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 6'1"; 200 pounds and last seen wearing dark khakis and a gray hooded zip-up sweater.
Suspect 2 is a light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 5'8"; 145 pounds and last seen wearing dark jeans and a gray hooded zip-up sweater. He may have an alias of Michael.
Both suspects wore gloves and ski masks, speak Spanish and English, and are between 26-38 years of age.
Sheriff Judd said he has increased the reward to $10,000 for any information leading to their arrests.
