Polk County deputies is cancel Silver Alert for missing endangered man

LAKELAND, Fla. - *Update: McGibbon was found in Georgia and will reportedly be okay.

Polk County Sheriff deputies have issued a Silver Alert for Dean McGibbon, 75.

McGibbon was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Saturday in Naples when he was leaving to drive back to Lakeland. He has not yet arrived at his home in Lakeland on Nature Trail.

Deputies say the last documentation they have of his whereabouts was a credit card statement from a truck stop in Jasper, Florida around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

McGibbon is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 200 pounds with blue eyes and grey hair. He is driving a silver 1998 Volvo V60 with Florida license plate BFP-K38.

He has been diagnosed with dementia, diabetes and high blood pressure all of which he takes medication for. He is also in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease.
