MULBERRY, Fla. - The FAA confirms a small plane landed on a highway in Mulberry. The plane reportedly had mechanical difficulty and landed on Highway 60, six miles south of Lakeland around 6:45 p.m.

There were two people on board.
The FAA says the plane was a Cessna 210 aircraft.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the pilot, Bruce Brown, was flying to Homestead when he noticed the Cessna was losing oil pressure and power.
The pilot had to do an emergency landing on Highway 60 westbound near Jenkins Road. According to the sheriff's office, it was a safe landing. No injuries were reported.
The FAA is now investigating.
