Mother in bullying death case files lawsuit

The mother of a 12-year-old Polk County girl who committed suicide, allegedly because of bullying, is filing a lawsuit against people she believes were responsible for her daughter's death.
Attorneys representing Tricia Norman say the Polk County school board, Cemex Construction materials and a former classmate all had a hand in Rebecca Sedwick's death.
The family is seeking 15-thousand dollars in damages from all three parties to cover funeral expenses and mental pain and suffering.
Sedwick jumped to her death last September at an abandoned Cemex construction materials plant in Lakeland after she was tormented by her classmates, according to investigators.
