Lakeland Police are investigating after a body was found at a construction site Thursday morning.
It happened at 8060 Hwy 33 N.
A body was discovered by a construction team member who was driving a piece of equipment over to the area to retrieve the first load of dirt for the day.
The on-site manager was notified, then called 911.
The victim was identified as Miqueas Rodriguez-Gonzalez, 40. Gonzalez had been released from prison just 13 days prior after serving time for possession of heroin within 1000 feet of a church.
