The St. Petersburg Police Department has arrested two juveniles for stealing a local musician's truck and thousands of dollars in equipment.

The Jeremy Thomas Band played a benefit concert at the Hollander Hotel last weekend when they woke up to everything gone.

"I woke up at 9 in the morning, and I walked out and my truck was gone," Thomas said.

The local musician has been playing music for 20 years and lost some of his most prized possessions.

One of them was a custom Stratocaster guitar that he has played with for two decades.

In all, Thomas lost around $10,000 in equipment.

"For all you musicians out there, you definitely need insurance on your equipment because the car companies don't cover any type of theft," he said.

Police recovered a stolen acoustic guitar at a local pawn shop and the stolen truck.

Right now, detectives are trying to figure out where the rest of the items went. Thomas said he is blessed by the outpouring of support to help raise money for new equipment.

“The little things add up, like the microphones and cords,” he said.
