St. Pete man charged in fatal shooting

St. Petersburg officers arrested a suspect Monday accused of fatally shooting a man during a large brawl.
Artez Hooker, 31,  of St. Petersburg is accused of fatally shooting Doncaro Keion Small.
The brawl occurred about 1 a.m. June 16 and involved 20 to 30 people outside the Hollywood Nites Club at 2101 Dr. Martin Luther King St. S., police said.
After the fight, Small, 32, drove himself to the Bayfront Hospital with a gunshot wound to his torso, police said. Doctors initially considered the wound non-life-threatening, but Small died from the injury at the hospital Saturday.
Hooker was arrested 3 p.m. Monday without incident in the 5500 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. He is charged with second-degree murder.
