Rays pitcher may have mosquito-borne virus

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Joel Peralta may have chikungunya,  a mosquito-borne virus.
Peralta thinks he contracted the illness while visiting the Dominican Republic during the All-Star break. He started to have the symptoms over the weekend.
The virus can last up to a week and is caused by mosquito bites in Caribbean countries.
The Rays have not put Peralta on the disabled list yet, but may do so some time Monday.
